The relief of neck and arm pain (brachial radiculitis). It also takes the pressure off of the joints of the neck relieving such symptoms as headaches.
Patient lies on the table as the neck is gently tractioned.

This is a piece of physical therapy that we use for neck injuries such as whiplash from car accidents, or even falls where people have a lot of headaches.
In this situation, we gently pull the neck section apart using this traction device and it gently pulls the facets, moves the discs, and reduces the muscle spasms in the neck so that it takes the pressure off the nerves, facet joints, and the skull while reducing headaches.
As you can see in the video, the device separates the neck portion, creating a gentle traction to the neck and pulling those facet joints apart.
